Grandpa was an amazing, loving and caring person. Between coming to all my baseball and basketball games, he made time to sit down and talk with you whenever you had an issue. If I ever needed a haircut I knew just who to call. When he moved to Rosemount he only lived a couple miles away. My largest regret is not taking advantage of the fact he lived so close. I wish i spent more time with him and all his stories. One of the best memories ill ever have is when i was real young and he would drive. Every traffic light that came up both of us would yell "Red light!" or "Green light". I have a feeling he made his errand runs a little bit longer with me for this reason alone. I have never met a single person with something bad to say about Grandpa. To this day the bank tellers at the local bank still have stories and praise how great Grandpa was. I'm forever going to miss you Grandpa. You had the biggest caring heart. I love you Grandpa. You lived a full life and taught me many lessons that i will forever use in my life. Thank you Grandpa for everything you've done for our family, and being the greatest grandpa a kid could ever ask for. Garrett;

Grandpa, I'm going to miss you. The last time I got to see you was on my graduation. I had no idea you were coming until dad said "watch who's pulling up!" and to my surprise, you walked out. You have no idea how much that meant to me. I will miss talking to you, and as my siblings have said, hear you answer the phone "Anderson's" I would always reply "Well that's my name!" My only wish was to have known you better, I love you Grandpa, and will forever carry your memories with me. Until we meet again. Nathan;

I was shocked to hear of Roy's death, and that he and Shirley had left Minot and moved to MN. I worked with Roy for 24 years at SRT, and learned a lot from him... besides the significance of the 17th of May! May the family have fond memories of him and cherish them forever.;

Nancy, I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. We are too quickly losing that generation. Your parents meant so much to me as a kid growing up. Their kindness stayed with me my whole life. They were great role models. My heartfelt sympathies go out to you and your family.;

Nancy & I have been friends since we were little girls, so I have known Roy almost all of my life. He was the "nicest" Dad that Steve, Nancy & Cindy could ask for! The thing I will remember most about Roy is his big warm smile that he always greeted you with. I have many fond memories from playing ball in the yard, him trying to teaching Nancy to paralel park, all his wise wisdom given so suttely, to the many wonderful times visiting them as we all got older. Dan & I always enjoyed stopping to see Roy & Shirley over the years. We will miss him a lot! Love, Donna (Scheet) Korgel;

Grandpa I sure do miss my saturday morning chats with you and Grandma we have had for the last 12 or so years, the silly jokes that would make coffee.come out my nose. You would answer the phone Andersons and then say hello Mrs. Caulkins. I am so happy my brothers and I got to be a part of this wonderful family and will cherrish every moment we had. You will be missed always and thought of often. Love you, Jeff, Katie, Desirae and Emily Caulkins;

I'm going to miss calling Grandpa on the phone and him answering the phone the exact same way he has as long as I can remember. All he would say was "Anderson's..." Still makes me smile to think of it. He always knew what the weather was like in AZ. I haven't seen him in 7-8 years but everytime we chatted on the phone it was like no time had passed. I will always appreciate and cherish the gifts that he sent to my kids every Christmas. Like the sun rises, you could always count on a stuffed animal and matching book at Christmas time. My kids still have everyone of the stuffed animals and each of the books are some of their favorites. I will miss you Grandpa but keep a nice chair waiting for me in Heaven. I want to hear some of these stories I hear so much about. Love you, Derek, Melinda, Tyler and Caleb Anderson (Sun City AZ);

Grandpa was one of my most favorite people. He was so loving and generous. He always laughed at my stories (even the ones that went on forever), he made time to take us to the playground when we were younger; and when we were older he always took special interest in what we were doing. He always had a story or joke to tell and tried to make us laugh often. I'm going to miss him so much! I'm going to miss the way he cared about us all and the way he doted on grandma. He cared about his family so much, making sure to give updates on news going on with family far away. I'm going to miss his record keeping and facts that he stayed current with; he always had a fun fact about the number of years since something happened or could pretty much tell you the day something occurred. I'm going to miss him something fierce, but I feel so lucky to have him as my grandpa and that I have so many good memories because of him! I love you Grandpa Roy! -Amanda;

At one of the last visits I had with Grandpa, he took me down in his mailroom to have coffee and cookies. We chatted about the week and he joked around like he always did. It wasn't long after we got there that 3 gentlemen came to join us. They sat with us for a couple hours catching up and swapping stories. Grandpa always had the best stories. I remember thinking how wonderful it was that he had this group of guys around. They saw how truly incredible he was and treated him like part of their family. To anyone else's standards, it may not have been the most exciting way to spend an afternoon, but I couldn't imagine being anywhere else. I know Grandpa enjoyed every minute he spent with his family and friends and he meant the world to all of us. My siblings and I were lucky enough to be blessed with the best Grandpa anyone could ask for and I will miss him everyday.;

Dad was the most gentle and kind man that I have ever met and I feel very lucky to have had him in my life. He was a wonderful "Pop-Pop" to my 3 children and I'm so thankful for the special memories that he created for them. Being married to Mom for 65 years has set a fine example to Larry & I (married 37 years). I will love him forever and he will always have a very special place in my heart. Cindy;
