I'm sad to hear of Marty's passing. I knew him from our days at Glenwood High School. Marty was a friend of my neighbor Roy Schmesing, that's how we met. I was - and still am - an amateur radio operator and Roy was in the process of getting his amateur license. One day he and Marty visited me and the three of us spent some time in my station going over the details. I always thought of Marty as one of those genius types with the big slide rule that could answer all the mysteries of the cosmos since he was Roy's friend and Roy did actually walk around with a big slide rule dangling from his belt. Strange as it may seem I still have pictures in my mind of Marty and of talking with him in school. Marty was class of '65 and I was class of '63 so after my graduation I lost contact with him until recently.;

Marty and I worked for many years together at General Pump and had been a friend of my father prior to that. He was a dedicated and knowledgeable employee and a wonderful person to spend time with. I loved seeing his pictures and e-bay triumphs on Facebook. He was passionate about life, politics, family and friends. He will be missed. My condolences to Patricia and the extended family.;

The Henry Anderson Mortuaty, Apple Valley MN. for Marty Flom, first cousin of mine. To family: So sorry for your loss. Marty was a great guy. My sister and I grew up in Glenwood amongst many Flom cousins, aunts and uncles. Marty was the oldest of Louis and Gloria and we loved being with the family on many occasion throughout our younger years. Uncle Louie passed on his good looks, great story telling and sweet and clever sense of humor to Marty. I am sorry we are so far away in the midst of a Minnesota winter and miss seeing the family and my cousins especially Christine, Cindy and Colleen and of course Priscilla and the large family they have created that will luckily pass on the famous name of FLOM. Best wishes and my sincere condolences.;

I have known Marty for 47 years now, going back to our military days in England. I am going to miss our weekly email correspondence. Marty was the consummate family man and never missed an opportunity to brag on his children and his grandchildren. Life wasn't very kind to Marty over the last number of years but he never complained or said why me. He was always upbeat and lived life the best he could. He was a photo nut when we were in the service and maintained that passion thru out his life. I will miss seeing his beautiful pictures of his beloved Minnesota countryside. Marty has left an outstanding legacy in his wide spread family and friends. I am truly going to miss you my old friend. Dusty;

My sympathy to Priscilla and all of Marty's immediate family on his passing. Marty was such a fun cousin--when our family would visit Glenwood from PA back in the 60's, Marty was the one with the driver's license who took us on rides around Lake Minnewaska, telling jokes along the way. Goodbye, Cousin Marty.;

We are so sorry to hear of Marty's passing but we also know that he fought a hard fight. I enjoyed visiting with him occasionally on facebook especially when I needed some information about one of our classmates when I was organizing our class reunions. We was a delight to talk to and was amazed at his knowledge in so many things. Priscilla, your dedication to Marty for all these years has been amazing-I applaud you. Take care and know that our prayers are with you.
