Martin Laurits Flom, 66, of Apple Valley, passed away Sunday surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 24, 1947 in McVille, North Dakota to Louis and Gloria (nee Melby) Flom. Martin is survived by his wife of 44 years, Priscilla, daughter Erin (Doug) Rowe, sons Derek (Elizabeth), Nathan (Karli), and Joshua (Kassi) Flom, 11 grandchildren, and sisters Christine (Mike) Duncan, Colleen (Roger) Werbylo, and Cynthia Rarick. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Stanley. Martin served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War era. He was known as a humorous and wonderful storyteller, a very handy man, and loved his music. Martin also loved his family dearly, and will be forever treasured. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be 4-7 PM Thursday, February 20 at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley, (952) 432-2331, plus 1 hour prior to an 11 AM Memorial Service on Friday, February 21 at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 12650 Johnny Cake Ridge Road, Apple Valley. Inurnment will follow later this year in Glenwood, Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, Memorials are preferred.
