Willis Alfred Whittington, 68, of Apple Valley, passed away Monday at his home. He was born December 22, 1944 in Stirling, Scotland to Willis Haydn and Annie (nee Summers) Whittington. Willis is survived by Collette (nee Rendall), his wife of 47 years, and several cousins. He was an informative, talented, and articulate public speaker who traveled the world over with Collette at his side making numerous lifelong friends. Willis possessed a sharp wit and a natural gift for poetry, was a Tennis Champion in his beloved homeland Scotland, an accomplished chef, and most of all, Willis was a truly loving and devoted husband. He will be forever loved and treasured. Memorial Services are scheduled for 11 AM Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley, (952) 432-2331, with a Gathering of Family and Friends beginning 1 hour prior.
