I was blessed to be in Mr. Tomlinson's class for the 1961-62 school year at Morris Park. Strong and handsome, yet kind and gentle, he could have been anything, but hundreds of kids' lives like mine were enriched because he chose teaching. He expected your best effort, but would pick you up and encourage you if you failed. I was riveted when he spoke; he was a gifted and talented educator. His bright, positive manner gave you confidence and I owe him more than I can express. Thank you, Mr. Tomlinson, you will not be forgotten.;

Mr. Tomlinson was my 6th grade teacher in the late 60's. I reference him frequently when I am asked where I learned to speak publicly. The oral reports we had to give gave me the confidence that had lasting impact. I remember the soccer games on the field in all types of weather. He once drew his face on the softball so I could finally hit it, and I did! The vocabulary lists we added to each week helped me through school and with crossword puzzles now 🙂 Thanks to his family for sharing Mr. T with so many students for so many years.
