Vira Sophia Horrmann (nee Oelke)
Age 94 of Minneapolis, born May 18, 1918 on the farm in Lester Prairie, MN to Reinhold and Mary (nee Stapel) Oelke, passed away June 3, 2012 at the Minnesota Masonic Home in Bloomington, MN. She married Elmer Horrmann of Hutchinson in 1941 and moved to Minneapolis. Vira was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; infant sister, Gloria; brothers, Holdrein and Oral; and son-in-law, Nylin. Vira will be dearly missed by daughter, Gloria Noetzelman; son, Lyle (Carol); three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and other family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, June 11, 2012 with visitation one hour before at Holy Cross Lutheran Church at 1720 E. Minnehaha Parkway, Minneapolis. Interment, Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the church. Special thanks to her loving “family” at the MN Masonic Home.
