I loved this man, like a brother.. not a brother-in-law.. he was part of my life since i was 12 yrs old.. hope they are playing some good country music in heaven for him ..and I bet he's grilling and frying his favorite meats right now....sure do miss him already..judy;

One of our favorite memories is playing pinochle at Beth and Vern's house and eating Vern's chili. Such good times we shared! He was a wonderful person and greatly missed.;

Vern was such a loving man. I have so many fond memories of spending time with his family. In fact, my first plane ride was with Grandma Jongeling and we flew (on Northwest Airlines) to see Beth and Vern. Vern will be greatly missed!
