Suzanne L. Anderson Brimacomb
Age 66 of Farmington, born January 5, 1954 in Austin, MN to Edward “Swede” & Juanita Anderson, passed away surrounded by her family after a long courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, February 8, 2020. She had five different cancers eight times over the years.
Suzanne “Suzie” had many jobs throughout her life. She was a baker/cake decorator in a bakery, late evening waitress, worked in the tech department in a school but finally settled on a media assistant at her school in the South St. Paul school district for 15 years before being forced to retire due to cancer. It was the perfect job for a voracious reader. She also loved that it allowed her to help get kids addicted to books.
Suzie was a gardener, card crafter, seasonal decorator, Halloween enthusiast and caramel maker extraordinaire.
She was an animal advocate, belonging to the ASPCA, supporting Last Hope pet rescue in Farmington, MN and the Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley, MN.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Edward and Richard “Dick” Anderson and sister, Mary Ramona “Mona” Anderson. Suzanne will be dearly missed by her husband, Jon; children: Josh Downey, Melissa Downey, Zach (Brooke) Downey and Ashley (Michael) Hertle; grandchildren: Gracie, Jacob, Caiden, Tristan, Reilly, Rauhan, Madison, Danielle, Kevin and Isabelle; siblings: Diane Floridi, Linda Leopold, Charles (Linda) Anderson, Cindy (Brian) Wesley and Curt (Stef) Brimacomb; in-laws, Gary (Donna) Brimacomb and many other dear family and friends. Visitation, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the ASPCA, Last Hope, Farmington or the Animal Humane Society, Golden Valley. A celebration of Suzanne’s life will be scheduled at a later date.
