Sue Woodward Nugent of Lakeville, born October 30, 1931, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Passed away peacefully September 21, 2011, after several years battling Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson’s disease. Sue was a 1949 graduate of Minneapolis Southwest High and attended the University of Minnesota. Active in Parish Ministry; Habitat for Humanity; Good News Group ? Dominica, West Indies; St. Andrews Catholic Church, Dominica; Welcome Wagon; Edina Jr. Jaycee’s Auxiliary. Her career included Parish Secretary at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis and All Saints Catholic Church in Lakeville. She was a member of the Diaconate Community Pastoral Council where she ministered to the needs of the Diaconate Community. Sue was a superb entertainer, gourmet cook, and caregiver. She enjoyed playing games with friends, tending to her gardens, poetry, putting lyrics to music, travel, family genealogy, journaling, scrapbooks, interior decorating, planning the annual high school reunion, but most of all time with her family. She was preceded in death by grandson David Shane Nugent. Sue was a devoted wife of nearly 60 years and will be dearly missed by her soul-mate George. She was the loving mother to her children Michael (Kim Marie) Nugent, Debra (Rick) Stickley, Mark (Kim Rae) Nugent, David Nugent, Mary Nugent, Daniel (Marypat) Nugent, and Martha (Scott) Shaw; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Sue will be missed by other family and friends especially her Aunt Jane Barton. Visitation 4-7pm, Monday, September 26th, with 5 pm Holy Rosary, at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley MN 55124, (952) 432-2331. Visitation also at 10AM Tuesday, September 27th at All Saints Catholic Church, 19795 Holyoke Avenue, Lakeville MN 55044. Mass of Resurrection will follow at 11AM. Interment to follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Lakeville.
