Age 92, born June 5, 1924 passed away March 31, 2017. Preceded in death by husband of 68 years, Peter Schoenike; son Gregory Schoenike; parents Everett and Neola Richards; brother, Charles; and sister Mary Jensen. Survived by children, Karen (Gene) Stephens, Ken (Rita) Schoenike, Everett Schoenike, Janice Glatte and Judy (Kevin) Hermanson; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Shirley was a loving mother and was proud of her family. She often commented on how blessed her life had been. Those of us who have known her have had our life enriched by her. We will miss her greatly. Funeral service 11 am Saturday, April 8, at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church 3430 E 51st St., Mpls. Visitation 3-6 pm Friday, April 7, at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary 3640 23rd Ave S. Mpls., and one hour prior at church. Interment Hillside Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church.
