Mowrey, Sara “Sally” (nee Hudson)
Age 91 of Burnsville, formerly of Hamel, passed away on April 25, 2018. She was born May 27, 1926 to Sara Gertrude and Bonnor Hudson in Waxhaw, NC. Sara moved to Washington D.C. where she met her husband, Bud. They married in 1953. They moved many times with their family before settling in Minnesota 44 years ago. Sara devoted herself to her family but, she also worked several years in the banking industry. Decorating and gardening were two of her passions. She intensely loved her family and welcomed all with her lovely Southern hospitality. Preceded in death by her husband, Morris “Bud”; son, Michael; siblings, Bonnor (Mimi), Jack, Ruby, Dewey and Shirley (John) Rusin; brother-in-law, Claude Pendleton. Survived by children, Sara (Marshall) Miller, Charles “Chuck” and Katherine (Thomas) Klouda; grandchildren, Marshall, Alex (Naomi) and Emily; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Jane Pendleton; sister-in-law, Deview; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial Service at 11am on Tues., May 1, 2018 at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, with visitation one hour prior. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
