Sandra Charlotte Ann (Nee Nelson) Turner
Oh give me land, lots of land, under starry skies above – Don’t fence me in.
Sandra, 76, passed away unexpectedly and has left a void in the Multiverse.
Sandra was an effortlessly fantastical human being – She was a Superb Wife, Amazing Mom, Beautiful Badass Ninja Grandma, and Beloved Friend. She is gone decades too early, but she lived her life fully. She loved being outside with the sun on her face, road trips, going on adventures, having coffee with family and friends, reading, writing, lunching with friends, traveling, and connecting with people. As a could-have-been spy, she turned her natural investigative talents to genealogy. She loved nothing more than sleuthing out the family trees, and spent hours at a time on it, letting out triumphant shouts when another puzzle piece fell into place. She was someone who could truly laugh while crying, having ‘Leaky Eyes’ as she did. She would spend days doing who-knows-what under the guise of “running errands” We shall never know what all she was really up to during those lost afternoons! But mostly, she spent her lifetime loving, learning, and laughing – spreading warmth and wisdom everywhere she went. Her loving and bright soul has gone to join her Husband, Sister, and Mother. We are certain that she is in good hands. She is survived by children Mike (Liv) Turner, Jeff Turner, Susan (John) Angel, Julie Warner, and grandchildren Micah, Sam, Lauren, Kaitlyn, Joe, Sara, Jayden, Kaylie, Ben, & Jac, her brother, Harris, as well as so many friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, Dec. 23, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church, 7800 150th Street West, Apple Valley. Interment, Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
