CHUCHNA
Roxanne K. “Roxy”, age 64, passed away November 1st, 2008 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She crossed over with her family by her side. Preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Agnes Kochta. She was born and raised in Winona, MN, and lived in Albert Lea, MN before moving to Apple Valley, MN. Roxy was owner and CEO of Roxy’s Food and Crafts, serving family child care providers throughout MN. A long time mentor for women in business, and strong advocate for children. Her business passed to other family members in early 2008, and she served as a consultant. She loved her family and was passionate about honoring them – parties, birthdays, holidays, celebrations- were always one-of-a-kind. Roxy welcomed friends and friends of family into her life, creating a circle of love around her. She was the best-ever wife (“Mud”), mom, grandma and “Nanny”, and her spirit of loving, teaching, learning and giving will be remembered by those whose lives she touched. Roxanne is survived by husband Ron; daughter, Shelley (Rand) Kjos; sons, Randy (Marcy) Chuchna, and Rick Chuchna; grandchildren, Amanda Strese, Kyle Strese, Michael Chuchna, Kayli Kjos and Marisa Kjos; brother, Dennis Kochta; and countless close friends and associates. A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, November, 4th at 11 AM in Grace Lutheran Church, County Road 42 and Pennock Ave, Apple Valley, MN with her visitation being held Monday, November 3, (TONIGHT) from 6 to 8 PM in Henry W Anderson Mortuary, 147th and Garrett Ave, Apple Valley, MN.
