Ronald Lee Cain was born in Anchorage, Alaska on March 15, 1971 and was shortly thereafter adopted by Gary and Jean Cain, whose residence was at the Naval Air Station in Kodiak, AK. He attended kindergarten through second grade in Chula Vista, California. His father was transferred to Moffitt Field in Sunnyvale, California. Ron attended third grade at Evergreen District, San Jose, CA.
Upon his father’s retirement from the U.S. Navy, the family moved to Apple Valley, MN, where his father was employed with Sperry Corporation. Ron attended school in Apple Valley up until midway through the eighth grade. Ron was very active in sports, playing football, basketball, track, and baseball at the VAA in Apple Valley. In 1985, the family was transferred to the Sperry facility in Pueblo, CO, where Ron attended school until his mother’s return to Apple Valley in 1989. Ron graduated from Apple Valley High School with the class of 1989.
Upon graduation, Ron returned to Pueblo, where he lived with his father and obtained employment at an automobile parts store. He would later seek employment with Atmel, a semiconductor manufacturing plant located in Colorado Springs, CO.
Ron returned to Apple Valley shortly after his father’s transfer back to the Sperry facility in Eagan. Ron gained employment with Andrews Windows and remained there until his employment with Cypress Semiconductor in Eagan. Ron was later blessed with a son, Oliver, who was born on June 7, 2006.
Ron was living at RS Eden’s Alliance facility at the time of his passing.
Ron is survived by his son, Oliver, of Lakeville, MN; his father, Gary L. Cain, of Sandy, UT; a sister, Lisa (Ed) Brazman, nephew, Louis Brazman, and niece, Staurie Cain, of Inver Grove Heights; and a sister currently residing in Anchorage, AK. Ron’s mother, Jean Cain, preceded him in death as well as his birth mother and two brothers.
Memorial services will be conducted 10 AM Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley, (952) 432-2331. Inurnment will be in Lebanon Cemetery.
