Welch, Robert R. “Bob”

Age 92 of Apple Valley (formerly of Minneapolis), went to be with the Lord on November 8, 2022. Preceded in death by his parents, Ralph & Helen; and siblings, Mary Tapp, Ralph Welch, and Dorothy Smith. Survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Joanne; children, David, Barbara (John) Haer, Diane Phillips, and Daniel (Amy); grandchildren, Ryanne, Erin, Tyler, Samantha, Stephanie (Jon), Nathan (Ava), and Rebekah; great-granddaughter, Lillian; brother, Charles; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Bob was a long-time member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. He was a member of the Gideons International for many years. Bob enjoyed trips out west and watching sports. He loved spending time with his family. Memorial Service at 11am on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, with visitation one hour prior. Private family burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
