Eisler, Richard J. “Dick”
Age 93 of Edina, born Feb. 26, 1920 in Minneapolis, to Charles and Ruth Eisler, passed away Feb. 12, 2014. Dick served in the US Army during WWII, and was a member of Lake Harriet Masonic Lodge, # 277, and the Zuhrah Shrine. He was also proud to be a longtime member of the former Minneapolis Athletic Club and was an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts. Dick retired after 42 years as an insurance agent with New York Life. He was preceded in death by daughter, Jan Donnelly and brother, Bill. Dick will be dearly missed by his wife of 67 years, Sylvia; son, Jim (Shan) Eisler; grandchildren, C.J. and Lizzy Eisler; and brother, Bob Eisler. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1900 Nicollet Ave., Minneapolis. Dick will be laid to rest at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
