Close, Phillip A. passed away peacefully and went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, December 2nd, 2005 at the age of 61. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Jane (Ballard); two sons, David (Wendy) and Jason (Annie); and three granddaughters, Olivia, Megan, and Amanda; mother Loraine Pfeffer; mother-in-law, Judy Ballard; and friend, Bill Culbert; brother, Wayne (Nancy) Close; sisters, Alison (John) Sorenson and Sheila (Wayne) Andrews; brother-in-law, Charles (Mary) Ballard. Greatly loved and cherished by many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Phil was also preceded in death by his father, Fred Close; step-mother, Cecilia Close; father-in-law, Francis Ballard; and step-father, Herbert Pfeffer. Visitation will be held Tue. Dec. 6, from 4:00 – 6:30 PM with Christian memorial service to follow at 6:30 at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 147th & Garrett, Apple Valley, MN. A devoted Christian, Phil worked at Pearson (formerly NCS) for 36 years. He loved spending time with his family and was an especially proud grandfather. He enjoyed time at the cottage on the Chippewa River, playing cards, hunting and was always helping others. Phil was a blessing to all who knew him. He truly touched the lives of many and will be loved and remembered forever. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
