The eulogy at his funeral was so right on. A laid back guy, who I'd always go to for information from his wonderful memory bank. I always had good insurance through my husbands pipe fitter union. Pat kept after me to sign up for Blue Cross at work, gee,Phyllis, it's so cheap, why not? So, I finally did, and then unexpectedly, Jerry had a stroke at 49, and ended up using his insurance up, over a period of several yrs. If I had not had that Blue Cross I'd have ended up destitute. That advice was a real life saver. I feel so bad that he never got to retire and enjoy the fruits of his labors, all the education he bothered to get, and climbing the ladder, earning a decent living. He had a very nice family, and I'm just so sorry.
