Schmidt, Norbert John “Norm” of Rosemount, MN, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2018 after 90 fulfilling and rewarding years of life. Our Korean War Vet left us on the historic day USA and North Korea leaders met for the first time since he served there. Norm is survived and forever adored by his 5 daughters: Kim (Mark) Mlazgar, Jodi (Mark) Porter, Kari (Jimmy) Bahr, Tammy Schmidt and Amy Schmidt; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, Frank Schmidt and Bob (Evelyn) Schmidt (Norm’s twin); and many loving nieces and nephews. He will be remembered by his warm smile, subtle wit and heart of gold. Preceded in death by wife, Kathy; parents, August and Mary; siblings, Ann Gettel, Clem Schmidt, Marian Johnson, Catherine Schmidt, Hilda Gorman, Aggie Schrafft and Steve Schmidt. Special thanks to ALL at the V.A. Hospital who cared for our Dad, specifically Ken Merwin, the caregivers in F1 Freedom Way and Dialysis. He truly appreciated you all.
