Johnson, Maurice V. “Maury”
Age 89 of Bloomington, born July 17, 1927 in Minneapolis to Anton & Anna Johnson, passed away peacefully Dec. 27, 2016, surrounded by family. Maury served in the US Army during the Japan Occupation. Following his service, he was an accountant with Hoerner Waldorf, Champion Paper, and SuperValu. He was proud of his 49 years with the ASI Male Chorus and was an active lifetime member of Mt. Olivet Luth. Ch. He is preceded in death by his brother, Wilbert and sisters, Stella & Hazel. Maury will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Muriel; son, Mark (Ann); grandchildren: Kathryn, Michael, Matthew, Kristyna; brother, Elmer; nieces, nephews, family and friends. Memorial service, 12 Noon, Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 with visitation one hour before at Mt. Olivet Luth. Ch, 5025 Knox Ave. S, Mpls. Maury will be laid to rest at Lakewood Cem. at a later date. Memorials may be made to the church or Struthers Parkinson’s Ctr.
