Manley Owen Tollerud, 93, of Apple Valley, passed away December 30. He was born April 13, 1921 in rural Pelican Rapids to Idan and Hilda (nee Grina) Tollerud. Manley is survived by his wife of 69 years, Elenora (nee Johnson), sons Edward (Barb Brown) and Everett (Joyce) Tollerud, grandchildren Heather, Erik (Marie van Staveren), Jonathan (Kathryn O’Flaherty), and Corey (Carrie Weidner) Tollerud, sisters-in-law Marian Prim, Betty Engelstad, and Virginia Brandt, brothers-in-law Ed (Donna) and Ervin Johnson, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Holly, parents, sister Eunice Wold, and brothers Irvin and Lyle Tollerud. Manley moved from Pelican Rapids to Dakota County in 1960 and worked at the University Experiment Station for more than 25 years. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandpa, who took every opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren. He and Elenora loved to camp, have visited every Minnesota State Park, and adored taking their grandchildren on camping expeditions. After their retirement, they made numerous trips around the western United States in their camping vans. His loving devotion to his family and his many visits will be forever remembered and treasured. Manley was an active member of Christus Victor Lutheran Church. Memorial Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Monday, January 12 at Christus Victor Lutheran Church, 7510 Palomino Drive, Apple Valley, with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Inurnment will be in the Spring at North Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Pelican Rapids. Henry W.
