Malcolm Vern Baker, Jr., 58, of Lakeville, passed away suddenly Monday, April 14. He was born October 1, 1955 in Mt. Gilead, Ohio to Malcolm Vern and Elizabeth (nee McGraw) Baker, Sr. Malcolm is survived by his Forever Love, Heather Furtney, sons John and Malcolm III, daughter Madelyn, sisters Brenda and Maryanne, brother Mark, parents-in-law David and Donna Furtney, brother-in-law Christopher Furtney, nieces, nephews, and numerous dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Malcolm was a beloved man who served others and loved his career in Sales, but more as a Mentor to his “Brothers” who were also his Golf buddies. He loved Football, played on the Ohio State Football Team in the 1975 Rose Bowl, and was inducted into the Ohio High School Football Hall Of Fame in 2012. Most of all, Malcolm lived out his sacrificial love for his family, and will be forever loved and treasured.
