Thornton, M. Robert “Bob”

age 87, of Burnsville, passed away 4/20/2012 at the Minnesota Masonic Home, Bloomington, after a long, couragous battle with cancer. Preceded in death by parents, Millard and Myrtle Thornton of South Mpls. Survived by Lois, loving wife of 65 years; children, Mark, Brian (Jerry); 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, brother, Donald Thornton (Mary); nieces and nephew; and his buddy, Pompe, the cat. Memorial service Thursday, May 3rd at St. James Lutheran Church, 3650 Williams Dr., Burnsville, starting with masonic service at 8 AM. Visitation 9 AM. Memorial service 10 AM. Later interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. James Lutheran Church or the memorial of your choice.
