Stavenas, Lorraine M., age 86 of Mpls., born April 6, 1921 to Nels & Matilda Stavenas and passed away Aug. 15, 2007 after a lengthy illness. She graduated from Mpls. schools and received her B.S. degree from the U of MN. Lorraine taught Home Economics at Edison, South and Roosevelt High Schools. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Astrid Stavenas Stoakes. She is survived by nieces, Diane Mackey of Little Rock, AR and Sharron Tathum of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; 5 great-nieces and nephews; 7 great-great-nieces and nephews along with very special and loyal friends, LaVerne & Kenneth Magnuson and Betty & Bill Harris. Service Monday 10AM, Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. S. Interment Lakewood. Memorials to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
