Terwey, Laverne R. “Vern”

Age 78 of Apple Valley, passed away on December 10, 2022. Preceded in death by his son, Shannon; grandson, Joey Raasch; parents, Henry & Eleanor; and brothers, Del and Jim. Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Shirley; daughters, Chantalle (Eric Cariolano), Nicole (Chris) Colburn, and Shanna (Mike) Raasch; granddaughters, Calista and Emma; siblings, Larry (Dolores), Donna (Vincent) Haider, Phyllis (Jerry) Blenker, Maryann (Ray) Fuchs, and Art (Rita); sister-in-law, Joyce; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Vern was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran – he retired as a Master Sergeant after 27 years of service. He retired from Opus Corporation after a 40 year career. Vern liked hunting, fishing, travelling, golfing, and cruising. He enjoyed gardening and playing dominoes with his family. Vern loved spending time with his family and his granddaughters were the light of his life. Visitation from 5-7pm on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley. Mass of Christian Burial at 10am on Monday, December 19, 2022, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 4030 Pilot Knob Rd., Eagan, with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
