Laura Beauton Hunter, 76, of Rosemount, Minnesota, passed away Wednesday, June 11. She was born March 26, 1938 in Hanna City, Illinois to Herbert Grant and Gladys O. (nee Fuller) Tuffentsamer. Laura was deeply faithful, and she lived out her faith as a Sunday School teacher and praying for others. She was a strong and resourceful lady who was always there for her family, whom she cherished. Laura was an amazing cook, and she especially loved creating the greatest Birthday Cakes. She will be forever loved and treasured. Laura is survived by her daughter Catherine (Chris Ockwig) Hunter, son Michael, grandchildren Tim and Matt (Michelle) Kodl, Drew, Christopher “Scott”, Lillianna, Kaden, Silas, Dylan, and Victoria Ockwig, foster grandson D.J. Masso, and great-grandchildren Jasmine, Josiah, Egan, Jersey, Skyler, and Stephanie Kodl. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest, sister Rose Scarset, and brother Duane Shelton. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 AM Tuesday, June 17 at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley, (952) 432-2331, with visitation 1 hour prior. Interment will be 2:30 PM, Friday, June 20, 2014 in Swan Lake Memory Gardens, Peoria, Illinois.
