Sundt, Judy (Judith) Ann

age 80, of Apple Valley formally S. Mpls., peacefully passed away on June 16, 2023. Preceded in death by her parents, Raymond & Ruth Holtan. Survived by her husband of 51 years, Harvey Sundt; son, Mark (Karen) Sundt and brother,  Dr. Jim (Susan) Holtan.

Judy retired after a 30 yr. career teaching 2nd grade at Hiawatha Grade School in So. Mpls. After retirement she and her husband Harvey enjoyed many years of travel across the U.S. visiting with friends on the west coast and family in Missouri and Florida. Even after Judy’s mobility declined to the point of needing a walker and wheelchair they made the most of several cruises and a trip to the UK and Europe. Closer to home, Judy enjoyed playing cards with her many friends at Summerhill. Judy was also especially found of her nieces and nephews and close friends children and grand children who she doted on at every chance she had.

Although Judy may no longer be with us, her spirit will live on through the memories we all had with her and the lessons she shared with her students. Her unwavering dedication, contagious enthusiasm, and unwavering belief in her students’ potential will continue to inspire future generations. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that her impact on the lives of her family, friends and students will be forever treasured.

A celebration of Judy Sundt’s life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Hiawatha-Howe PTO organization https://www.givemn.org/donate/Hiawatha-Pto-2 in Judy’s name.
