Coffin, James Franklin, III “Eggy”

age 52 of Waukesha, WI born June 13, 1965 in Minneapolis, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly due to a heart attack on Tue., June 5, 2018.  Jim will be dearly missed by his wife and love of his life, Dawn Marie Coffin (nee Schroeder); daughter, Lydia Elizabeth Coffin; son, Adam James Edward Coffin; step-son, Kevin Douglas; parents, James, II and Jane (nee Moberg) Coffin; brothers, Scott Coffin (Jim’s life-giver and donor, Krissy Miller) and Thomas (Holly) Coffin; nephews, Jonathan and Blake; nieces, Lauren and Megan and many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.  Jim was a 1983 graduate of Apple Valley H. S.  His passion was baseball and sports statistics including an on-line game that keyed on the statistics of each baseball player in the NBL.  He was in many leagues and the guys he played with enjoyed getting his take on a draft and/or trade.  If you asked him anything sports related, he would rattle off the stats, important events or anything to do with the topic.  After his life-changing kidney transplant in August, 2016, Jim took an active role working as a volunteer with the Froedtert Medical College and Hospital Transplant Department in Milwaukee, WI.  He mentored future kidney transplant patients and was an avid promotor of organ donation.  A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 13, 2018 with a visitation one hour before at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Froedtert Hospital Foundation.  Special thanks to the staff at Froedtert Kidney Transplant Group.
