Isabelle departed for her heavenly home on Sunday, March 12, 2017. Isabelle, the third child, was born to John and Earsy Current in Chicago, Illinois, July 24, 1917.  As the first daughter, she was named “Little Sister” and carried that name throughout her life.  The family relocated to Detroit, Michigan, where Isabelle attended city public schools, graduating from Northwest High School.  While raising her 4 children, Isabelle worked at the U.S. Post Office.  Over a 35-year career she advanced from mail clerk to illustrator draftsman.  Well known for her artistic abilities, she was the catalyst for initiating the Post Office Employee Art Exhibit.  Her talents were recognized at every level resulting in her being asked to build a parade float when the U.S. Post Office introduced zip codes under the persona of “Mr. Zip”. As a child raised in the church, she held membership at Second Grace UMC, Detroit, MI, St. Paul UMC, San Antonio, TX and most recently Rosemount UMC, Rosemount, MN.  She held several leadership positions in the North Central Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Women, as well as designing and drawing many of the logos used on the conference brochures at the local, state and national level.  Isabelle was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings; Gloster Current, John Current and Gloria Current Edwards. She is survived by her sister Dolores Current Register (Donald), sons; Maurice (Charlotte Lawson), Edward (Beth) and Michael (Carol) Fagin, daughter, Marilyn Stanton-White (Lonnie) and step-son Kenn Stanton. She was also blessed to have several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.  Her sweet, sweet spirit will be missed by all.  Visitation: Friday, March 17, 2017 from 4 – 6:30pm. Rosemount UMC, 14770 Canada Ave, Rosemount, MN.  Funeral Service:  Saturday, March 18, 2017, 2pm. Henry W.
