Hugo G. schmidt, age 93 of Edina, born February 9, 1914, in Burnstad, ND, passed away September 25, 2007. Hugo was a 36-year employee of Northwest Airlines, retiring in 1979. He is preceded in death by parents; four brothers, and three sisters. Hugo is survived by his wife of 67 years, Esther; sons, Bruce (Janell) and Gary (Janice); grandchildren: Tammy Jo (Robert), Sharon(Wes), Brian, Nathan (Kimberly), Paul (Bess) and Thomas; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Lloyd Schmidt; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service is 11:00 am, Monday, October 1, 2007 at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, Serley Chapel, 50th and Knox Ave., Mpls., with visitation one hour before. Memorials may be made to Cathedral of the Pines or 7500 York Resident Fund. Private interment Lakewood Cemetery.
