Herb was the best man at the wedding of my Dad, Robert Suppan, who called Herb nearly every week up to the last 10 days of Herb's life. They loved to take and develop photos and to build and operate radios back when commercial radio was only about 20 years old. I remember going to Herb and Helen's house as a child to have cookies and milk while the adults talked and marvelled at how quickly we were growing up. My only regret is that I didn't take Herb with my Dad to visit the MN Historical Society exhibits about Minnesota during the Grat Depression and World War II. I had waited too long and my Dad said "Herb doesn't move too well any more" for a walking visit. Herb will be greatly missed.;

Herb there will always be a chair for you on the porch at Whitefish with a cup of coffee on the armrest waiting for you. Never forgotten.
