Herceg, Helen H. “Grams” of Minneapolis, went home on February 16, 2007. Preceded in death by parents, Erik and Karen (Olseth) Johnson; and husband, Rudie. Survived by daughters, Karen Herceg and Jill Rentas (Jim); son, Rick Herceg (Kay); grandchildren, Scott Herceg, Graham Herceg, and Jenna Rentas. Helen was a long time member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church and was a current member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. She was proud of her Scandinavian heritage, fluent in both Swedish and Norwegian, and was a member of the American Swedish Institute. Helen enjoyed tending her flower gardens, bird watching, traveling, reading, volunteering at church and the Swedish Institute, and doting on her grandchildren. Special thanks to the kind and caring staff of Redeemer Residence. A Celebration of Helen’s Life will be held 12 Noon Tuesday, February 20th at Lakewood Cemetery Memorial Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Avenue S, with visitation one hour prior. Memorials preferred to the American Heart Association.
