Eugene Gerald Fromm,
Age 75, of Mpls., passed away on April 7th, 2018. Preceded in death by his parents, Alphonse and Syvilla, and his sister Darlene. Eugene lived his entire life in Minneapolis MN, except for one magical year spent in New Zealand, “the most beautiful place in the world.” He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1960 and earned a BS from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1964. He had a great sense of humor and was interested in everything!
An avid learner, programmer, artist, reader, photographer, nature lover, gardener, cook and wordsmith, Eugene was truly a renaissance man who always opened up the splendor of life for everyone he met.
He always encouraged people to be themselves and loved them for it even if he didn’t agree.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He valued kindness above all else.
Survived by wife, Peggy; sons Jerold (Natasha) Fromm and David Fromm; daughters Cortney Fromm and Tove Borgendale. He adored 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Memorial service Friday, April 13 at 1PM with visitation one hour before at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. So., Mpls. Memorials preferred to the donor’s choice or the family.
