Elizabeth Jean “Liz” Stoen, 64, of Apple Valley, passed away peacefully on August 15th 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 12, 1949 in Norwalk, Wisconsin to Melvin and Mabel (nee Stefferud) Savall. Liz is survived by her husband of 41 years, Michael, daughters Lisa and Leslie (Ben Aalto), sisters Judy (Robert) Hoffman and Mary Savall, and her beloved German Schnauzer, Bastian. She will always be remembered for her unwavering Positive Spirit, High “Bootkicking” Energy, and her most loving and caring nature for others. Liz had a “Larger than Life” personality, loved to entertain for others, and a hysterical sense of humor that would brighten the day of those around her. She could most often be found laughing with her family and many beloved friends, gardening her 100ft of hostas, or around her most cherished possession-her Coffee Pot! She will be greatly missed by all, and was truly an inspirational one-of-a-kind woman, who will forever remain in our hearts and stories. Public Memorial Services are scheduled for 11 AM Wednesday, August 21 at Grace Lutheran Church of Apple Valley, 7800 West County Road 42, Apple Valley, with a Gathering of Family and Friends one hour prior. Inurnment will follow in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Memorials are Preferred. All are welcome and encouraged to attend, to remember and celebrate Liz’s beautiful life, along with her family.
