Ziegler, Donald F. age 89 of South Minneapolis, born June 10, 1918 in Minneapolis, MN, passed away January 15, 2008 in Bellingham, WA. Donald was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, awarded the Bronze Star Medal, served in 65th Inf. Div. in France, Germany and Austria, a retired supervisor with the Collection Division I.R.S., member of American Legion Post #435, Babcock V.F.W. #5555, D.A.V. Chapter #1, and N.A.R.F.E. Chapter #150. Preceded in death by beloved wife of 50 years, Eleanor and brothers, Harold, Karl and Raymond. Donald is survived by niece, Karla Sue Hammond; sister-in- law, Helen Lander; nieces, Linda Lander and Judy Lander; grand-nephews, Donald and Alan Mooers; and cousin, Lauretta Swider. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. S., Mpls. with visitation one hour before. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
