Dear John and family: I will remember Debby's warm and sunny smile, even when she didn't feel well, our brief but sweet times of tea together, the way she enjoyed flowers or a greeting from Nicky, her love of family and friends and most of all her steadfast faith and hope in her savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. I grieve over your loss but I rejoice in the knowledge that she is jumping for joy in His presence and the hope of our future celebration at the Throne worshiping Him.;

I am a new friend of Debbie's through my Husband Sean Kern (her Great Nephew..Jeri Schmidt's Grandson). In the short few years that I have known her, she was a true inspiration to me. Always dealing with medical issues, but never letting it slow her down. Still attended baby showers, bridal showers, and other family events. No matter what personal issues she was dealing with she always had time for others. A true motivator for us all. "No one will ever see me quit, because I simply won't. If I start something, I will finish it and do it well.";

Dear John and Family, Debbie was a dear friend since gradeschool. I fondly remember a birthday party at her house during grade school. I enjoyed pleasant conversations with her at high school reunions. Debbie was always a strong witness to her faith through serious health challenges. Sincere condolances, Doris and Bob Dickhudt P.S. On a humorous note, I was so jealous of Debbie having such a beautiful blue cashmere sweater.;
