Haugen, Dean B.
Age 84 of Apple Valley, passed away on Oct. 26, 2021, following a brief illness. Dean was born in Wallace, SD on Nov. 16, 1936, to Mildred & Bennett Haugen. Following graduation in 1954 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served 3 years on the USS Princeton aircraft carrier. After discharge in 1957 he settled in Minneapolis where he met the love of his life, Nanci. They married in 1960 and had 2 sons, Todd and Scott. They then moved to Apple Valley in 1964. Dean retired from Medtronic in 1999. Survived by his wife, Nanci; sons, Todd and Scott (Sheryl); grandchildren, Erin, Emma, and Michael; many other relatives and friends. Visitation from 4-7pm on Fri., Oct. 29, 2021 at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley. Memorial Service at 11am on Sat., Oct. 30, 2021 at Grace Lutheran Church, 7800 W. Co. Rd. 42, Apple Valley, with visitation one hour prior. Interment Lebanon Cemetery. Memorials preferred to a charity of your choice.
