David P. Nelson, age 56 of Apple Valley, MN, passed away Nov. 17, 2018. His father, Kenny, and his father and mother-in-law, Harry and Jan Sweere, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Charlene (Sweere); daughters, Jenna and Eden; foster son, Joseph Greenwood; mother, Donna; brothers, Tom (Coralie), Wes (Joan), and Jim (Ellen Benway); brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark Sweere (James Bergstrom, d.), Jim (Pam) Sweere, Carol (Tim) Hager; special friends, Elysah Dawson and Jennifer Brody; and many precious nieces, nephews, other family, and friends. Dave had many passions in life, but most of all he loved people. He shared everything he had. He gave people jobs, mentored those in recovery, took in families in need, and was a very faithful friend. His happy place was at the lake, and the friends he made there were among his best. It gave him joy to volunteer at the camp across the lake, and to help on the watershed association. He loved his church and made more great friends there. His faith shone through his personality, and it proved to all that God does indeed have a sense of humor. A Memorial service will be held on Fri., Nov. 30, 2018, at 11am with a visitation one hour prior to the service at Hosanna! Church, 9600 163rd St. W., Lakeville. Interment at The Columbarium at Hosanna!
