I work at MNLA, a place where Dave volunteered. Dave was an integral part of our community and embodied a vision of cooperation that helped to build up the entire green industry. Dave gave countless volunteer hours over the last 20+ years to help forge the strong partnership between MTGF and MNLA in creating the Minnesota Green Expo. He was a good leader, inviting people alongside him for the journey, encouraging ideas and feedback from the whole group. And he also knew meetings had to move along for the good of the order. He was adept at strategic, long-range thinking, focusing on what would be best for the whole group, not just for him. Dave was content, yet forward-thinking; humble, yet proud when we all succeeded. He was patient, kind, friendly, goofy, and a servant leader. He never took himself too seriously and was fun to be around. We’ve lost a loyal friend, a joyful joke-teller, and a genuinely good man. Losing Dave Kemp has hit all of us hard, and he will be truly missed.

Cathy, Andy, Jay, and Chris- With all the memories and through all the years, I am fortunate to have known Dave. Special people will keep their place in our hearts; Dave is "one of the good ones". I pray you and your families can find peace in this profound time of loss. See you out there, my friend.
