Darlene J. Sam

Age 78 of Mpls., passed away March 24th after a long battle with
cancer. Born in Cass Lake, MN on Sept. 23, 1942. Raised on the Iron
Range and graduated from MacGregor HS in 1960. Darlene moved to Mpls.
and was united in marriage to Eugene Sam in 1962. They raised 3
children together. She earned her college degree from the U of MN in
1994. She was retired from her work with the City of Mpls. Jobs &
Training Program and loved spending time with her children and
grandchildren, traveling and going to local casinos. Preceded in
death by parents, Charles & Sadie Boyd; siblings: Raining, Jessie,
Wesley, Marge, Alvin, Russell, Frank, Gladys and Harriet and nephew,
Joe Mojica. Survived by children: Robbin, Sharon and Christopher
(Amy); grandson, Keith Sam; great granddaughter, Amirah; siblings,
Carol Mojica and Donivon Boyd; many nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends. Memorial service, 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Henry
W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave. So., Mpls. with visitation one
hour before.
