Daniel Ayodeji Ajayi
Age 21 of East St. Paul born September 21, 2000 in Lagos, Nigeria, passed away unexpectedly November 6, 2021.
Daniel was serving active duty in the US Navy. He attended both Washington and Johnson high schools in St Paul, graduating from Johnson in 2019. Throughout highschool, Daniel was involved in basketball and track, with basketball being his main passion. He could talk about endless basketball stats. Daniel was a real ‘student of the game’.
Daniel enjoyed making songs in his ‘studio’ (his car). Daniel was an honest man, and his fearlessness will be remembered. His fearlessness came from his faith in Christ. Daniel’s sincerity was matched by his compassion and full of life nature. His laughter sent waves throughout the room, sometimes too much for even him to bear as he would topple over, clenching his stomach, still continuing to laugh. His two-dimpled smile was so infectious it could turn your whole day around, and his hugs and kisses made you feel that everything would be alright.
Daniel was a loving son, grandson, the best big and little brother his siblings could ever ask for, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be dearly missed by his mother, Mercy Adekinle-Ajayi; grandparents, Ezekiel & Leah Adekinle; sister, Victoria; brothers, David and Emmanuel and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Daniel, we love you, You will never be forgotten. Rest well.
Funeral Service, 11:00 AM, Friday, Nov. 26, 2021 with a visitation one hour before (10:00 AM-11:00AM) at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55407. Daniel will be laid to rest with honors at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
