This is a very sad day for me My best friend passed away today. He was one year older than me and the picture of health and full of life. I will never understand why I am burying him and not him burying me. We talked about our demise a couple of weeks ago and both were in agreement that we didn’t want to spend any more time being kept alive on a machine than was absolutely necessary to be sure there was no hope. He got his wish today, but I know he was thinking much further in the future. The good Lord must have needed another carpenter in heaven. He had a massive heart attack Saturday night and was held in suspended animation until this afternoon when they did a brain scan and pronounced him dead because there was no activity. I will miss him terribly. I will miss his humor, his help with anything I asked of him and just his presents but I did follow my own advice and told him how I felt about him being in my life and I’m happy to say he felt the same about me and told me so. We met very late in life only because he moved into the neighborhood, and then discovered that our paths had been parallel at times and diverged in other times. This is probably true for most people, after all we all have dreams and ambitions but we seemed to be singing the same tune more than usual. The final goodbye will be in a few days but in my heart it will be “Until we meet again.” So have a good journey Curt, I love you man. Tony

Curt always brought a smile to our faces when he walked in the door with Sadie, his lab that went everywhere with him. We saw him every month for the last 7 years at the vet clinic. We will miss his sense of humor, his smile, cheer and witt. My condolences to his family. Curt was one of a kind and a gem. He will be fondly remembered and missed.

I did not know Curt long, having just met him last year. But in that short time he was a good friend to me, always there with a kind word and encouragement. I will miss him.
