I cannot express in words the shock upon learning of this way too early loss. I have sympathy for his family, Chandra and their kids. I met Chris in 1976, he was there when I built my first guitar flanger, my first lasers, laser projector & for my first gig. We started school at Brown Institute together. He was a very bright guy, always with words of inspiration, gave me confidence and guidance and I will really miss him.;

It blew me away that you were gone in a flash. Thank you God for not breaking our hearts slowly. I will catch you in heaven and we'll duel basses. I will never forget our trip to Lake Vermillion on the house boat. Damn the Mayflies. You and your family were lifted in prayer at church today as I played Amazing Grace. You are forever missed.;

I met Chris in September, 1971. We were in Mrs. Judy Crumb's 2nd grade class at Westview. We competed to see who could get his math test finished and handed in first. Later, we talked on CB radio and competed to see who could build the most powerful base station and "walk" on the other one. It was always in fun, of course. I remember being up on roof once in below-zero temps, helping him put up an antenna without slipping on the ice and falling off. Good memories, all of them. So sad he had to leave his family and friends at such a young age. But I know he's now in a much better place. R.I.P, Chris. You are missed by all of us.;

My deepest condolences to the Niesen Family. For the better part of thirty years I could always count on Chris being Chris, even after moving out west and coming back home I always knew I'd bump into him and yes it was like time stood still as we caught up on what each of us had been up to. I'm truly blessed to have a friend like Chris, and will I miss him greatly as so many others will.;

I met Chris in 1999, and had recently been in touch with him regarding a potential gig. It is with profound sadness that I learn of his passing, but I am grateful to have shared some time, space and music with him. He now knows nothing but pure light, peace and joy. Eternal rest, brother.;
