Quinn, Christine E.

Age 73 of Apple Valley, loving spouse of Charles and daughter of the late Harvard and Eva Isenman, passed away on September 18, 2018. Preceded by parents and sister, Ingrid Brown. Survived by husband of 43 years; sisters, Catherine and Mary (Steve); cousins, Tom, Jerry, Karen, and Bill; and friends. Graduate of South St. Paul High School; BA from U of MN, and advanced degrees from Indiana U, where she was a Woodrow Wilson Fellow, and the U of MN. She was also a doctoral candidate at the U of Toronto. Christine was an educator who taught university-level Spanish and later ESL to adults through Community Ed and ISD 196 in Apple Valley for 20 years. She was a dedicated teacher who cherished her students and helped them find their way in a new culture. No one worked harder or spent longer hours in preparation. She loved her family and for 15 years was the primary caregiver for her mother. She loved hiking in the state parks along the North Shore and was a keen observer of wild flowers and geology. She will be remembered with great love and affection. Funeral at 2pm on Mon., September 24, 2018, at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 12650 Johnny Cake Ridge Rd., Apple Valley, with visitation 30 minutes prior. Interment Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Shepherd of the Valley.
