BJERKE – BROWN

Carol A. of Apple Valley, MN and Naples, FL, passed away on April 16, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, Adele and Hardean Bjerke. Carol is survived by loving husband of 49 years, Richard L Brown. Carol has two adoring children, Vicki Lynn (Brian) Knudtson and loving son, Scott Alan (Tina). Carol’s proudest moments were when, grandson Eric James and granddaughter Kiersten Natalie were presented to her. She is also survived by her caring brother and sister in law, Gordon A Brown and Marjorie Brown; cousins, Richard and Erlys Barnett; and dear friends, Ron & Marlene Boris and Henry Baltes. Carol was employed for twenty years at Transport America, she loved her job and her coworkers and stayed close with Colleen Ritchie after retiring in 2014. Carol graduated from Washburn High School in 1962 and attended Moorhead State College. Services for Carol will be held Thursday, May 1, 2014, with a gathering of family and friends at12:00PM with her memorial service to follow at 1:00 PM at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 147th and Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, MN. Interment in Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings, MN. Carol preferred any memorials be sent to the COPD and Cancer Foundations in lieu of flowers.
