Pofahl, Betty Ann, age 88, of Apple Valley, MN formerly of Owatonna, MN, passed away after a short illness. Preceded in death by husband, Jim; son, John; sister, Marion Folsom. Survived by son, James (Mary); daughter, Jane (Don) Hoffmann; 2 granddaughters, Kristen Ryan and Pamela Orton; 4 great-grandchildren. She was valedictorian of the 1937 graduating class of Kenyon High School. She married Washington Senators shortstop, Jim Pofahl on Feb. 3, 1940. She moved from Washington DC back to MN in 1942 and lived in Owatonna since 1947. Betty Ann was president of Women’s Club and Centennial Club. She also served on the Board of the Owatonna Public Library and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Owatonna Public Library. Funeral service Wednesday, August 29at 4 PM at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 147th & Garrett Ave., AV. Private family interment at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault.
