It's often said it's the people who make the sport of ballooning so special and never was this more true than when speaking of Beth. She leaves an indelible imprint on our sport and a vacancy that will be felt for many years to come. She was a dear friend and my heart aches at her loss...;

God speed dear Beth. Seldom in this life does one have the good fortune to meet someone in person just once and go forth with the feeling that you must have known them all your life. Just as did my late wife Sharon, Beth had the sweetest of souls and could light up the lives of those who knew her, whether fleetingly or for a long time. We are all richer for having known her and poorer for having lost her. For all whose lives she touched I would say. LOSS LEAVES A PAIN NO ONE CAN HEAL LOVE LEAVES A MEMORY NO ONE CAN STEAL;
