Arnold R, age 83 of Apple Valley, MN died Sunday, July 13, 2008 at the University of Minnesota Hospital. Arnold was born in Woodbury County, Sioux City, Iowa. Arnold grew up in the Granite Falls, MN area where he attended Granite Falls High School and was a member of the varsity football team. Arnold managed the Wegdahl Co-op Elevator for 29 years. He later moved to Burnsville, MN and was employed by Harvest States Coop. After Arnold retired he worked for Avis car rental driving cars around the Twin Cities area. Arnold is preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Joliene. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Phyllis; 3 daughters, Jane Johnson, Judy Johnson, and Janell (Jeff) Voigt. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Kelly Smith (Jane), Kim Collins (Jane), Missy Arneson (Judy), Justin Peterson (Judy), Katlin Voigt (Janell), Tyler Voigt (Janell) and Jack Voigt (Janell); four great-grandchildren, Matthew Smith (Kelly), Ben Smith (Kelly), Jordin Arneson (Missy) and Colton Arneson (Missy); a brother Donald (Irene) Johnson; 3 sisters, Zelma (Ewald) Wanagas, Vivien (Dave) Wiitamak, and Jackie (Oliver) MacKenzie. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 17th at 2 PM in Henry W Anderson Mortuary, 147th and Garrett Ave, Apple Valley, MN with a private family visitation. Interment at 2 PM on Friday, July 18th in Clarkfield City Cemetery, Clarkfield, MN.
