Phillipps, Alyce L., age 89, formerly of Bloomington. Born August 6, 1919 in Moorhead, MN and passed away November 27, 2008. She was proud of her nursing career where she worked 15 years at the Swedish Hospital and 13 years at Portland Junior High. She expressed her faith through her work in missions at North Central University and many activities at Cedar Valley Church. Preceded in death by husband, John P. Survived by children, Stephen (Sue Ann Guildermann), and Becky (Norman) Miller; grandchildren, Jennifer Przybilla, Samantha Woodford, Andrew John Miller, Cassandra Guildermann-Phillipps, Sara Miller, Peter Miller; great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Woodford; sisters, Mildred Frisell, Violet (Cliff) Simon, Esther Grossi, Muriel (Joe) Shepeluk; and other family and friends. Service 11 AM Tuesday, December 2 at Cedar Valley Church, 8600 Bloomington Ave. S., Bloomington with her visitation Monday, December 1, 5-7 PM at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 147th and Garrett Ave., Apple Valley and 1 hour before service at church. Interment Dawn Valley Memorial Park. Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers.
