Sayers, Albert L. Friday, January 4, 2008 Lamoni, Iowa “Death is more universal than life. Everyone dies, but not everyone lives.” After many years as a heart attack survivor living life to its fullest, Al was called with all his wit, humor and charm to be with God. He leaves behind his beloved wife Cleone, his brother Gordon, many relatives and countless friends to mourn his death, celebrate his life and rejoice in his memory. Al was born in Mpls., MN on Oct. 7, 1945 to Gordon L. and Sylvia (Alton) Sayers. He was graduated from Farmington High School in 1963 and he served in the Air Force, primarily as a dog handler, from 1965 to 1969 with two terms in Vietnam. Al was graduated from Menlo College of Business Administration in 1972 and pursued a career counseling people on their finances, their career paths, and even their life choices. Al lived his life with passion whether it was conducting his business, serving as President of Greenwood Cemetery, writing a published book on tractors. training his beloved dogs, or driving his favorite tractor while working in the field. His interests were wide and his exuberance for life and empathy for others touched the lives of countless people by something as simple as a smile to helping someone pick up their life and move forward. Albert’s burial will be later this spring in his beloved Greenwood Cemetery, Lakeville, MN.
